CO/RK Gallery and the SAME Cafe

CO/RK Gallery Manager, Megan Chadez, was impressed by the concept when she first learned about SAME Café, an East Colfax neighbor, and felt it was a philosophy that she and CO/RK Gallery could gladly endorse.
To help spread the word and generate support, CO/RK Gallery is hosting a SAME Café menu tasting on November 7th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. The event guests can sample the fresh, mostly organic ingredients that make up the café's menu items - such as Gorgonzola Squash Soup, Warm Black-eyed Pea Salad and Pesto and Sausage Pizza - and learn about volunteer opportunities with the organization.
In addition, local singer-songwriter, poet and author Dave Delacroix will be signing copies of his new book, Roman Holiday: Veni, Vidi, I Crashed!. Event guests can also get a jump on their holiday shopping with one-of-a-kind arts and crafts. 20% of every Desert Heart jewelry purchase will be donated directly to SAME Café, a not-for-profit organization.
CO/RK Gallery recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, having opened its doors in October of 2007 to offer unique, handmade American arts and crafts in glass, metal, wood, pottery, fiber mixed media and more. It is located at 2220 E. Colfax Avenue in Denver near the corner of Colfax and York.
